Thinking about my kids' future with a Palladium IRA

Been doing a lot of reading lately about Palladium IRAs, specifically how they can play into setting up my kids for the future. I'm a teacher here in Columbus, and honestly, with all the economic uncertainty, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to leave something meaningful for them. My current gold IRA is pretty small, under $10k right now, but I'm slowly adding to it.
The idea of tangible assets like gold and palladium really appeals to me for legacy planning. Stocks and bonds can be so volatile, and honestly, sometimes it feels like just numbers on a screen. Gold and palladium? That's real wealth, something historically recognized even when fiat currencies go... well, you know. I'm imagining my kids, maybe in 30 or 40 years, having some financial bedrock because of what I started now. It feels like a responsible, almost old-school, way to protect their future.
My biggest question right now is about the best way to structure it. Should I eventually open separate Palladium IRAs for them when they're older, or is there a way to designate beneficiaries more effectively now that minimizes headaches down the line? I'm picturing trying to explain the value of palladium to a future self just trying to simplify things after I'm gone. Also, what are the tax implications for beneficiaries inheriting a Palladium IRA?
It's all a bit overwhelming, trying to plan so far ahead, especially when I'm still figuring out my own retirement. But the thought of providing a real, physical asset for my kids, something that's stood the test of time, is a huge motivator. Any advice from folks who have actually gone through the process of setting up their precious metals IRAs with their children's inheritance in mind?
