Storage Fees for Palladium IRA - Am I Getting Gouged or is this Normal?

I've been in the gold game for over 20 years now, moved a decent chunk into a Gold IRA (and more recently a Palladium IRA) back when I retired from the plant here in Detroit. My portfolio is sitting comfortably between $500k and $1M, mostly in precious metals now, and I generally feel pretty good about my long-term strategy. But something's been bugging me lately.
My custodian's annual storage fees for the palladium have felt a bit... steep. I understand the need for secure, insured storage, especially with a chunky investment like this. I'm paying a flat rate, which I was told was standard. Is it just me, or do these things always feel like they creep up on you? I'm honestly not comparing apples to apples across providers enough. What are other folks in the precious metals IRA space seeing for storage fees, particularly for palladium? Is there a big difference between gold and palladium storage costs?
I'm wondering if I should shop around more aggressively, or if this is just the cost of doing business with a less common metal like palladium. I remember taking the Gold IRA Quiz a while back when I was first looking into this, and it gave me a good foundational understanding, but it didn't really dive into the nitty-gritty of varying fees for different metals. Any thoughts or experiences from others would be super helpful. Just trying to make sure I'm not leaving money on the table unnecessarily.
