Small portfolio Gold IRA - who did you pick?

Okay, so I'm a nurse here in Seattle, and I've been thinking a lot about retirement security. I just turned 45, and my 401k is... fine, but I really wanted to diversify with something tangible. Did a ton of research and decided a Gold IRA was the way to go. The problem is, most of the big names feel like they're catering to people dropping a million dollars, not someone like me looking to put in around $60k-$70k to start with a rollover.
I'm looking for recommendations for companies that are good for smaller investors, or at least don't make you feel like small potatoes. I've seen some with really high minimums or fees that just eat into your gains when you're not starting with half a million. Transparency is huge for me too – I want to know exactly what I'm paying for storage, insurance, everything. The thought of getting hit with hidden fees after I've transferred everything seriously stresses me out.
Right now, I'm leaning heavily towards gold, but I've also been playing around with that "Silver vs Stocks" tool on goldirablueprint.com (the one at https://silvervsstocks.goldirablueprint.com/?period=10Y). It’s actually pretty eye-opening to see how silver has stacked up against the market over 10 years, and it makes me wonder if I should allocate a small percentage to silver too. Anyone here diversified into both gold and silver within their IRA? Do you find it adds too much complexity or is it worth it?
My primary goal is capital preservation and a hedge against inflation, not necessarily massive growth. I'm hoping to retire in about 20 years, so this is definitely a long-term play for me. What companies did you guys go with for your first Gold IRA, especially if you started with a similar portfolio size? Any red flags to watch out for? Your experiences would be super helpful!
