Rollover Worries - How long did your 401k to Gold IRA

Hey everyone, I'm starting to get a little antsy about my 401k rollover to a Gold IRA. I initiated the process about three weeks ago with a company I researched pretty heavily (they were highly rated for customer service, which was a big deal for me). My administrator rep (I'm a healthcare administrator myself, so I get the systems side of things, but this is new territory for me personally) said it would likely be 3-4 weeks for the funds to clear from my old 401k provider and then another week or so for the physical gold to be purchased and allocated to my account.
I'm looking at moving about $150k from my old 401k. It's a significant chunk of my portfolio, and while I'm confident in the long-term play with precious metals, seeing it in limbo for this long is making me a little nervous. I keep checking my account online, and it still shows the funds pending transfer. I'm in Tampa, and the thought of this much capital just floating around in cyberspace is definitely not helping my blood pressure!
Has anyone else experienced similar timelines? What was your actual experience with a direct rollover from a 401k (or even an old IRA) to a Gold IRA, especially with palladium? I'm particularly interested in hearing about anyone who did a partial or full rollover recently. Did it really take the full estimated time, or did things move faster/slower than expected? Did you have to do any follow-up with your old 401k provider directly, or did your new Gold IRA company handle all the heavy lifting? Just trying to gauge if my expectations are out of whack or if this is par for the course.
I'm a pretty steady investor – been dollar-cost averaging into gold for a while now, and this rollover feels like the next logical step in diversifying my retirement funds. I just want to make sure everything's on track. Any shared experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!
