Platinum for my IRA - anyone think it's undervalued?

I've been kicking around the idea of adding some platinum to my Gold IRA, specifically in the form of a Platinum IRA, and I wanted to get some other perspectives here. Right now, it just feels like platinum is seriously undervalued compared to gold, and even palladium. I've been watching the price action for a while now, and the spread between gold and platinum has been bugging me – it just doesn’t make sense historically. I remember when platinum was always trading at a premium to gold, and now it's a fraction. With all the talk about demand for hydrogen fuel cells and the push for cleaner energy in general, it seems like platinum is set up for a significant move.
I’m a retired military guy here in San Diego, and after putting in my time, financial security is pretty much my number one priority. I've got a decent chunk of my retirement in precious metals (north of $300k, probably closer to $400k if I count everything, including some real estate), mostly gold, and it's been a great hedge. But diversifying into platinum feels like a smart move to capture some potential upside without abandoning the core principle of wealth preservation. I'm not looking to get rich quick, but I also don't want to leave money on the table if there's a strong case for platinum appreciating significantly over the next 5-10 years.
My concern, naturally, is making a bad call. While the industrial demand seems promising, there's always the risk of a new technology disrupting things or a global economic slowdown affecting demand. Are any of you already holding platinum in your IRAs? If so, what was your rationale for getting in? For those who aren't, what are your major reservations? I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has done a deep dive into the supply/demand fundamentals beyond the usual surface-level stuff.
So, the big question is: am I crazy for thinking platinum is a no-brainer right now, or are there genuine reasons to be cautious that I'm overlooking? Any thoughts on the long-term outlook for platinum as a strategic asset in a retirement portfolio would be greatly appreciated.
