Finally feeling good about my Palladium IRA - a long-term win!

I know a lot of people jump into these things hoping for quick returns, but I wanted to share my experience with my Palladium IRA for anyone playing the long game. I've owned a jewelry store here in Providence for 25 years, so I know a thing or two about precious metals, but investing in an IRA is a whole different beast.
I started my Palladium IRA about six years ago with a small chunk, roughly $10,000 to $15,000 as an initial investment, then steadily added to it over time. There were definitely some periods where I was wondering if I’d made the right call. I remember looking at my statements a couple years back, seeing it hover around $20k, and feeling a bit deflated. It wasn't the kind of explosive growth you hear about in tech stocks, and honestly, seeing the spot price fluctuate sometimes made me question my conviction, even with my background in metals.
But sticking with it has really paid off. Just checked my latest statement, and it’s sitting comfortably over $65,000 now! It’s not quite at the $100k mark yet, but that’s still a huge gain from where I started, and it’s incredibly satisfying to see that kind of steady appreciation. Considering my age, having a solid portion of my retirement portfolio in something tangible and less volatile than other assets is a huge stress reliever.
Anyone else have similar long-term success stories with palladium or other precious metals in their IRAs? What made you stick with it through the slower periods? I'm curious to hear other perspectives on this, especially folks who bought in when the price wasn't exactly soaring.
