    Palladium IRA Custodian experiences?

    Key Takeaways
    • I've done my research, and I like the industrial demand aspect, especially with the push for greener tech.
    • My current Gold IRA custodian has been… fine.
    • So, for anyone here who has a Palladium IRA, what are your experiences with your custodians?

Alright, so I’ve been heavily invested in a Gold IRA for a while now, probably have close to $700k in various precious metals, mostly gold and silver. But with all the inflation talks and the supply chain headaches I'm seeing daily in my logistics business here in Memphis, I’m seriously considering diversifying into Palladium. I've done my research, and I like the industrial demand aspect, especially with the push for greener tech.

My current Gold IRA custodian has been… fine. Not bad, not great. Just "fine." They're a big name, and the fees are a bit on the higher side, but the service is pretty hands-off, which has worked for me while I've been swamped planning the succession for my company. But if I'm adding Palladium, I want to make sure I’m with a custodian that’s really on top of things, especially regarding availability and storage options for a less common metal.

So, for anyone here who has a Palladium IRA, what are your experiences with your custodians? Are there any that really stand out for their customer service, competitive fees, or for making the process of physical Palladium acquisition and storage smooth? Any red flags to watch out for? I’m looking for someone who understands the nuances of less liquid assets and isn’t just pushing gold and silver. I’m thinking long-term here, probably another 10-15 years until I fully step back from the business.

This mirrors what I've been seeing too. The macro environment right now is making a strong case for physical metals.

Totally get where you're coming from with the palladium interest. I actually had a similar thought process a few years back, but with platinum instead of palladium. Gold and silver were my mainstays, but with everything going on, I wanted to diversify a bit more within the precious metals space. Ended up going with a different custodian for the platinum, but the process was pretty smooth once I found one that handled it without a hitch. Good luck with your search!

Hey, that's a solid chunk of change you've got in there! When you say you're "seriously considering" palladium, does that mean you're thinking of adding it to your existing IRA, or are you looking to open a separate Palladium IRA altogether?

Hey, I hear you on diversifying, especially with all the economic uncertainty. Palladium *is* interesting, but have you looked into platinum as an alternative? It's often overlooked compared to gold/silver and even palladium, but it has some really strong industrial demand, especially in auto catalysts, and can sometimes offer a different risk profile. Might be worth a deeper dive before committing solely to palladium. Just a thought!

Been looking into this myself — the fees on some of these custodians are wild. Anyone found one that doesn't gouge you?

My advisor told me 10-15% in gold is the sweet spot but I went heavier. We'll see how it plays out.

Genuinely curious — has anyone here actually tried to liquidate from their gold IRA? How smooth was that process?
