Minimums for Gold IRAs - what are folks seeing?

I've been looking at diversifying some more and thinking of adding another Gold IRA, but the minimums some of these custodians are quoting are wild. Back when I set up my first one, around 2012, I swear it was much more flexible. Now I'm seeing a lot of firms asking for $25k, $50k, even $100k to even get started. I've got a decent chunk, north of $3M in my portfolio, and a good portion is already in physical metals and my existing Gold IRA, but I was thinking of just adding another $100-$200k to a new account this time, just to keep things compartmentalized.
My existing setup is fine, but I'm looking for aggressive growth on this new allocation, and frankly, I don't want to dump half a million into a new account just to hit some arbitrary minimum. Is this just the market now, or am I looking in the wrong places? I'm in NYC, so maybe the local options are just catering to ultra-high net worth folks, but I figured there'd be more flexibility at the $100k-$200k range.
Any other Wall Street retirees or folks with heavy metals allocations running into this? What custodians are you using that have more reasonable onboarding minimums? I'm not afraid of the paperwork, just the unnecessary capital tie-up. Also, for anyone else considering this, definitely use the Tax Calculator – it's been invaluable for me figuring out the tax implications of rollovers and contributions. Wouldn't want to get hit with an unexpected bill from Uncle Sam.
Appreciate any insights. Cheers.
