Is platinum the dark horse no one's talking about?

Been seeing a lot of chatter lately about palladium, obviously. Given my primary investment in a Gold IRA (and a smidge of silver for good measure), it got me thinking about other precious metals, specifically platinum. I've been eyeing platinum for a while, just not pulled the trigger yet. My Gold IRA is sitting pretty at about ~$380k right now, but I'm always looking for diversification avenues, especially within the precious metals space without going full-on commodity trader.
My Gold IRA is mostly American Gold Eagles and some South African Krugerrands – love the heritage behind those. For me, it's not just about the numbers, but the tangible asset, the history, the legacy, you know? It's why I'm in the bourbon industry – appreciation for something with deep roots and a story. Platinum, though, feels a bit different. It's got the industrial demand, sure, but also the rarity. And it seems like it's been lagging behind gold and palladium for a while.
Anyone else feel like platinum is seriously undervalued right now? I remember a few years back, everyone was scrambling for it, but it's been pretty quiet. Could this be a good entry point? I'm thinking of dedicating maybe 5-10% of my precious metals allocation to platinum, potentially in a Platinum IRA. Would love to hear from anyone who's already got platinum in their portfolio – what's your long-term outlook? Am I missing something obvious, or is this really a potential sleeper?
