Gold smashing ATHs - anyone else holding strong or looking to rebalance?

Well, what a ride, huh? Gold just keeps on climbing, and honestly, it’s a beautiful sight to see. I remember back when I first started moving some of my retirement funds into a Gold IRA, some folks thought I was a bit old-fashioned or overly cautious. My wife, bless her heart, was definitely raising an eyebrow. But with a hundred acres of horse farm here outside Louisville and wanting to make sure my daughter’s future is secure, being "cautious" felt like being smart. Having somewhere between $150k and $200k of my portfolio in physical gold feels a lot better today than it did a few years ago, that's for sure.
I got into this wanting a hedge against inflation and market volatility, and it’s certainly delivered. Seeing these all-time highs just reaffirms the decision. I’ve always been a believer in tangible assets – you can hold it, you can see it, it just feels more real than digits on a screen. With the way things are going globally, I sleep a little sounder knowing a good chunk of my wealth isn't tied directly to the whims of the stock market.
Here’s what I’m wondering, though: for those of you who have been in gold for a while, are you taking profits, holding steady, or even thinking about adding more? My original plan was to let it ride, but seeing these spikes always makes you think about rebalancing a bit. I’m not looking to get rich quick, just protect what I’ve built up over the years. What's everyone else's strategy looking like right now?
Also, on a slightly different but related note, has anyone here started planning for RMDs down the line for their Gold IRA? I poked around a bit recently and found this RMD Calculator (from Gold IRA Blueprint) that seems pretty handy for getting a rough idea. Just trying to stay ahead of the curve as I get closer to that age bracket. Always appreciate the collective wisdom here!
