Hey everyone, just read this article about GR Silver Mining (GRSL:TSXV) getting a permitting exemption for their bulk sampling at the Plomosas project in Mexico: Canadian Mining Co. Advances Mexico Bulk Sampling Silver Program. This sounds like pretty good news. I've been watching this space for a while now, especially with how silver has been performing lately. Mexico is obviously a key region for silver, and any progress on the permitting front is usually a huge de-risker for these junior miners. I’ve been burned before by companies getting stuck in regulatory limbo, so seeing them actually move forward is a positive sign for sure.
My own portfolio is a bit heavy on precious metals right now, as I'm trying to diversify from just tech and give my retirement savings a bit more stability. I’ve got some exposure to other silver plays, and this one has been on my watchlist. The mention of advancing bulk sampling plans at a "high-grade" project is what really caught my eye. High-grade is obviously what we're all looking for when it comes to juniors, as it can significantly impact the economics down the line. I'm always thinking about my kids' college funds, so I'm hoping to see some solid returns from these kinds of calculated risks.
What do you all think? Anyone else following GRSL specifically, or have experience with companies getting these kinds of exemptions in Mexico? Does this feel like a significant step forward or just a routine procedural update? Always interested to hear other perspectives from this experienced community!
