Hey everyone,
Just read this article about West Red Lake Gold Mines (WRLG) hitting some seriously high-grade gold – up to 215 g/t! You can check it out here: Bonanza Gold Hits Up to 215 g/t From Untouched Zone as Drilling Expands at Depth. My first thought was, "Wow, that's a bonanza indeed!" I've been keeping an eye on the gold sector given the current economic climate, and these kinds of intercepts from what they're calling an "untouched zone" really get my ears up. I remember a few years back I took a small position in another junior exploration company that got similar results, and it paid off pretty well for my retirement portfolio when they announced a resource upgrade. It didn't have this kind of grade, though!
I'm always a bit cautious with junior miners, as the risks are definitely there, but the fact that they're expanding at depth is also a good sign for potential longevity. I'm trying to diversify a bit more for my kids' college funds, and good gold exposure is something I'm actively looking for. The Austin 904 Complex at Madsen sounds promising. I'm wondering if any of you have looked into WRLG before, or if you have any thoughts on how sustainable these kinds of high-grade finds usually are in the long run. My due diligence alarm bells are ringing a little bit, but the potential is certainly eye-catching.
What are your thoughts on this? Is this something you'd consider for a speculative play, or do you think it's too early to get excited? Always appreciate the community's insights!
