Figured I'd share my experience with Augusta Precious Metals for anyone on the fence, specifically regarding their Palladium IRA option. I went with them about 14 months ago. I’m in Memphis, 55, and own a small logistics company that I’m trying to set up my successor for over the next 5-7 years, so my focus for a while has been on diversifying and protecting assets. I had about $700k in my retirement accounts and decided to roll over roughly $150k into a Palladium IRA, with metals held at Delaware Depository.
The process itself was pretty straightforward. Augusta's reps were professional, not pushy at all which I appreciated. They walked me through the different Palladium options, benefits, and risks, and helped me understand the paperwork for the rollover. Honestly, the biggest hurdle for me was just the mental shift of physically holding a portion of my retirement in a tangible asset, rather than just seeing numbers on a screen. But with all the inflation concerns and general market volatility, it felt like the right move.
So far, I'd say I'm pleased. Palladium has had some ups and downs, but I’m looking at this as a long-term play, not a get-rich-quick scheme. The fees felt reasonable enough for the security and peace of mind. Communication from Augusta has been good – occasional emails with market updates, but not overwhelming. I haven't had to call them for any issues, which I guess is a good sign!
Anyone else here go with Augusta for a Palladium IRA? Or any other precious metals? What’s your take on their service and the long-term outlook for palladium specifically? Always curious to hear other investors' perspectives.
