Okay, so my husband and I have been watching our Palladium IRA just soar lately, and honestly, itβs a bit mind-boggling. We put about $60k into it back in 2021, and the growth has been phenomenal. We mostly went with Palladium because of how essential it is for catalytic converters, and with the push for cleaner emissions, it just made sense β tangible wealth you can actually understand, not like some of these crazy tech stocks. I'm a farmer's wife, from Kansas City, MO, and my folks always taught me to trust what you can see and touch.
That said, while we're thrilled with the performance of the metal itself, our current custodianβ¦ well, theyβre fine, but nothing to write home about. We're looking at potentially rolling over some funds from a different account in the next year or so, maybe another $30-40k, and we're starting to think about whether there's a better custodian out there. Their fees seem a little high, and communication isn't always the clearest with their online portal. It feels like we're just another number to them.
So, I wanted to open it up to the community: who are you using for your Palladium (or even Platinum) IRAs, and what has your experience been like? Are there custodians known for better customer service or more transparent fee structures? Iβm particularly interested if anyone has experience with custodians who are good with smaller portfolios like ours (under $100k for this specific IRA). We're not high rollers, just trying to secure our future with some good old-fashioned assets.
I've been doing some research on my own, digging through articles and even found some useful stuff on the Learning Center. It has a lot of good general information about IRAs and the different metals, but direct custodian recommendations from real people are always the most helpful. Any insights you all have would be incredibly appreciated!
