Anyone dealt with Augusta Precious Metals for a Gold IRA? My current custodian is seriously testing my patience.

Okay, so I've been with XYZ Custodian for my Gold IRA for about 3 years now. Rolled over a decent chunk from an old 401k – we're talking about $250k of my roughly $800k total portfolio is in precious metals, mostly gold and some silver, as a hedge. I'm a doctor here in Boston, and frankly, my time is precious. Lately, dealing with XYZ has been a nightmare. Slow responses, fees that seem to fluctuate like the tides, and just an overall feeling of being a number, not a client.
My biggest frustration right now is trying to execute a small rebalancing within my non-IRA metals holdings, which they also custody. It's been weeks, and I keep getting canned responses or no response at all. This isn't brain surgery, people! I understand markets move, but the lack of communication is infuriating. I chose a Gold IRA partly for the stability and peace of mind, and this is having the opposite effect. I'm seriously considering moving the whole Gold IRA to a new custodian.
I've been doing some research, and Augusta Precious Metals keeps popping up with really positive reviews. Has anyone here personally dealt with them for a Gold IRA? What were your experiences, especially regarding customer service, fee transparency, and the ease of initiating transactions or rollovers? I know they push the "white glove service" angle, but is it actually true in practice? I'm debating hitting them up for a consultation, but wanted to get some real-world feedback from this community first. Moving $250k is not a small decision.
Are there other custodians I should be looking at? What are the red flags to watch out for when considering a new Gold IRA custodian? Any insights, good or bad, would be hugely appreciated. I just want a custodian who can handle my assets efficiently and professionally so I can focus on my patients, not chasing down paperwork.
