Thinking about smaller accounts at Birch Gold - my experience with them so far

Okay, so I’ve seen a few posts here about Birch Gold Group for bigger portfolios, but not as much for folks with smaller amounts like mine. I’m a nurse here in Seattle, and I initially rolled over about $75k from an old 401k into a gold IRA with them about a year and a half ago. My main goal was just security for retirement; seeing the market swing like crazy made me really nervous, especially after almost 30 years in healthcare. I just wanted something tangible that felt safe.
My account isn't huge, but they’ve been surprisingly attentive. I was worried I'd be shunted off to some junior rep, but my specialist actually remembers my name and our conversations. We’ve done a couple of small additional purchases of silver coins – nothing crazy, maybe $3,000 here, $5,000 there over the last year. I just picked up some American Silver Eagles and Canadian Maple Leafs. The process for those has been pretty smooth; they confirm everything, send tracking, and it usually arrives quicker than I expect. I always inspect them the second they arrive, paranoid as I am, but no issues yet.
The fees are what I keep an eye on, obviously, being a smaller fish. The annual storage and maintenance feels pretty standard, though it does sting a little when you're not seeing massive gains like some of the crypto bros brag about. But for me, it's about stability, not chasing huge returns. I get regular statements, and their online portal is decent, though not super fancy. I'm actually considering another roll-over from a different account soon, probably around $20k, just to boost my physical silver holdings. Does anyone else here have a smaller account with Birch or another company? What has your experience been like with fees and customer service?
I guess what I’m getting at is, don’t feel like you need a million-dollar portfolio to look into a gold IRA. For me, it's about peace of mind, and Birch has delivered on that for my relatively modest investment. Just wanted to share my perspective for others who might be on the fence about starting smaller.
