Silver vs Gold: How are you guys splitting it in your IRA?

I've been thinking a lot lately about the gold-to-silver ratio and my own portfolio breakdown. My late husband, bless his heart, was always big on gold, so when I rolled over his 401k into a Gold IRA after he passed a few years ago, I mostly stuck with what he knew. I’ve got about $70k in the IRA right now, parked here in Raleigh, and probably 80% of that is in physical gold.
Lately, though, with all the economic uncertainty, I've been wondering if I should up my silver holdings. I know gold is the traditional safe haven, and it's done a lot to protect his legacy for me, which is just so important to me. But I keep seeing talk about silver having more upside potential due to its industrial uses, especially if things really take off with green tech.
I used the Silver vs Stocks tool the other day, just playing around, and it really made me think about how silver has tracked over the last 10 years compared to the S&P 500. Of course, past performance isn't a guarantee and all that, but it was still an eye-opener. I currently have a small amount of silver eagles – maybe $10k worth – and I'm debating whether to take some of my gold gains and move it into more silver, or if I should just hold steady.
What are your thoughts on ideal allocations? For those of you with similar portfolio sizes, what percentage do you keep in silver vs. gold? Are there any specific types of silver you prefer for an IRA, like coins over bars, or vice versa? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. It’s a big decision and I want to make sure I’m doing right by what he left me.
