Patience paid off with my silver coins - glad I stuck with it

Been seeing a lot of new folks asking about getting into precious metals, and it made me reflect on my own journey. I've been in and out of the dairy business my whole life here in Wisconsin, and I learned pretty early on that sometimes you just gotta weather the storm. That mentality really helped with my silver coin investments.
I started putting a chunk of my retirement savings into a Gold IRA about ten years ago, but also picked up a good amount of physical silver coins I kept at home. Had about $75k in those coins back then, mostly American Silver Eagles and some Canadian Maples. There were definitely times, especially a few years back when prices felt like they were just sitting still, that I questioned if I made the right call. My buddies at the co-op would sometimes tease me about my "shiny rocks" instead of putting it all into stocks. But I just kept telling myself it was a long-term play, a hedge against all the uncertainty out there.
Fast forward to now, and I'm really starting to feel good about that decision. Between the gold in my IRA and those silver coins, my precious metals holdings have really beefed up my overall retirement picture. I used that Gold IRA Calculator the other day just to plug in some numbers, and it was pretty eye-opening to see the potential growth over the next decade if things keep trending as they are. It showed a path to being comfortably over my original goal, which is a huge relief when you're thinking about retirement in Madison.
Anyone else here have similar experiences with sticking it out during lean times with their silver or gold? What kept you motivated when the market felt stagnant? Would love to hear some other long-term success stories to keep the good vibes going for the newer investors.
