Okay, so I just opened a Gold IRA a few months back – super excited to get this going. I'm a teacher here in Columbus, and with only about $10k in there right now, I'm really trying to make every dollar count. I’ve been reading a bit about palladium, and it seems like it could have some serious upside, but it also feels a bit more volatile than gold or silver. My initial thought was to stick to the classics, but the recent price action in palladium has me wondering if I’m missing an opportunity here.
I know this sub is usually all about gold and silver, but has anyone here actually invested in palladium for their IRA? What’s been your experience? I’m looking at physical palladium coins or bars, but honestly, it all feels a bit more opaque than buying Eagles or Maples. I'm still super new to this, and while I definitely want to grow my retirement, I also don't want to make any big new investor mistakes.
I've been playing around with that Gold IRA Calculator to try and model out some potential returns if I diversified a little into palladium, and it really highlights how different assets can perform over time. Just curious if anyone with more experience in precious metals IRAs has thoughts on allocating a small percentage to palladium. Is it worth the potential headache of sourcing and storing, or should I just stick to what's tried and true?
