How long did your Gold IRA transfer actually take?

Okay, so I'm a bit antsy here. I started the process of rolling over a good chunk of my old 401(k) into a Gold IRA about two weeks ago. My husband and I have been talking about doing this for ages, especially with the way the economy's been acting. You know, with all the talk about inflation and the dollar just not feeling as strong as it used to. We're farmers here in Kansas City, and there's just something comforting about owning something tangible, something you can hold in your hand, unlike those paper assets that feel like they could disappear overnight.
The company I'm working with (won't name them yet, want to see how this goes) told me to expect the whole thing to wrap up in 3-4 weeks. I'm looking to transfer around $75,000 to $80,000, so it's a significant portion of our retirement savings. I've heard some horror stories about delays and others say it was super quick. I'm just wondering what everyone else's experience was like. Did it really take as long as they said, or was it faster/slower?
I'm mostly just anxious to have that physical gold in the vault, knowing it's there. It's for our future, and I just want to make sure it's secure. Did anyone have any snags with their old 401(k) provider dallying on sending the funds? Or any issues with the Gold IRA company themselves? What was your actual timeline from start to finish?
Thanks for any insights you can offer. It really helps to hear from others who have gone through this before.
