Hey everyone,
Just read this article about Lumina and KGHM – interesting stuff: https://www.mining.com/newly-listed-lumina-in-talks-with-polands-kghm-over-potential-supply-deal/
Lumina, being newly listed and already in talks for a supply deal with KGHM for copper concentrates out of their Nowa Sól project... that's definitely something to watch. KGHM is no small player, and securing an LOI this early could really de-risk Lumina's future cash flow projections. I've been burned before by junior miners with promising assets but no off-take agreements in place, leaving them scrambling for funding down the line. For my own portfolio, which is heavily geared towards long-term stability for retirement, this kind of initial groundwork is pretty crucial. It shows a forward-thinking management team, which is always a good sign.
My first thought was, how much of this is already priced in? Lumina is newly listed, so I'm wondering if the market has fully digested the potential of this partnership yet. What are your thoughts? Anyone here have experience with either Lumina or KGHM, or perhaps other junior miners securing similar deals early in their life cycle? Do you see this as a significant positive catalyst, or is it just standard procedure for a company with a viable project?
