Hey everyone, just read this article about Radisson Mining Resources (RDS:TSX.V; RMRDF:OTCQB) and their Quebec gold discovery: Link to Article. Sounds pretty exciting, right? Extending mineralization at O'Brien, and with over 100,000 meters still unexplored? That's a huge potential runway for growth. I've been eyeing some gold explorers lately as a hedge for my retirement portfolio, especially with all the market volatility, and this one definitely caught my attention.
My initial thought is that Quebec is generally a favorable mining jurisdiction, which takes some of the geopolitical risk off the table that you see with certain other gold plays. The "high-grade" mention is also music to my ears. I've been burned before by explorers with decent-sized deposits but really low grades, which just make the economics tough. The fact they're hitting high-grade right off the bat, and still have so much ground to cover, suggests this could be a long-term play. My wife and I are thinking about adding a bit more exposure to the metals sector, and I'm always on the lookout for a good exploration story with solid fundamentals.
What are your thoughts on Radisson? Any of you have experience with this company or other Quebec gold explorers? Do you think this "significant expansion" news justifies a deeper dive into their financials, or is it still too early to get excited? Always appreciate hearing different perspectives from this community!
