Hey everyone, just read this article about Getchell Gold Corp (GTCH) and their Fondaway Canyon project in Nevada. Looks like they’ve seen a pretty substantial 54% jump in indicated gold resources. I’ve been keeping an eye on a few gold plays lately, especially with the inflation worries and what that could mean for my retirement portfolio. Nevada's always been a hotbed for gold, and "high-grade" definitely perks up my ears.
My first thought was, "Okay, 54% is solid, but what's the all-in sustaining cost going to look like?" The article mentions analysts eyeing major valuation upside, which is great, but as we all know, a resource is only as good as its economics. I've been burned by high-grade, high-cost projects before, so I'm a bit cautious. My wife and I are trying to grow our nest egg for when we eventually slow down, so I'm looking for things that have a real chance of getting into production efficiently.
What do you all think? Is this 54% jump significant enough to put GTCH on your radar, or are you waiting for more details from the PEA? Anyone here have experience with other projects in the Fondaway Canyon area? Always appreciate hearing different perspectives from this community!
