Hey everyone, just read this article: "Canadian Exploration Co. Advances High-Grade Alaska Gold Mine Toward Production" about Grande Portage Resources. My first thought seeing that 1.44Moz resource at 9.47g/t is "wow, that's some serious grade." I've been dabbling in junior miners for a while now – got burned a few times early on, but also had some nice wins. I'm always on the hunt for projects with high-grade, low-cost potential, especially with the current gold price environment. This one definitely piques my interest as a potential long-term hold, maybe even for some of my kids' education fund.
What really sticks out is the "incred" analyst call, though the article cuts off there. I'm curious what their full take is. We all know analyst reports can be a mixed bag, but when you combine high-grade drill results with positive analyst sentiment, it's worth a deeper dive. Alaska can be tricky for operations, but if they've got the logistics figured out and the permitting isn't too agonizing, this could be a really solid play. I'm thinking about adding some to my watch list, maybe do a little more due diligence on their management team and jurisdiction risk.
Anyone else been following GPG or GPTRF? What are your thoughts on this one? Has anyone invested in them before or know more about their progress with this particular project? Always good to get some different perspectives from the community before I commit any capital, especially with my retirement getting closer and wanting to make sure I'm making smart moves here. Let me know what you think!
