Augusta Precious Metals - My Experience So Far (2024 Check-in)

I've been seeing a lot of chatter lately about people's experiences with various Gold IRA companies, and figured I'd throw my two cents in on Augusta Precious Metals. For context, I'm a real estate agent here in Miami, just turned 40, and I'm really focused on building out my retirement nest egg. I've got a decent chunk of my portfolio, around $150k, in a self-directed IRA and a good portion of that went into physical gold and silver with Augusta about 18 months ago.
My biggest concern going into this was making sure everything was above board and that I wasn't getting fleeced with hidden fees or crazy markups. Honestly, the whole process with Augusta was pretty transparent. My rep, I forget his name now, but he was patient as hell walking me through all the different options for coins and bars, and explaining the storage solutions. I opted for Delaware Depository since it's one of the industry standards. The paperwork was a bit of a grind, as expected with anything involving IRA rollovers, but they helped streamline it where they could. No pushy sales tactics, which was a huge relief after getting hounded by a few other companies.
So far, I'm really happy with my decision. I sleep better knowing a portion of my savings isn't tied directly to the stock market's rollercoaster. With the way inflation is looking and just the general instability in the economy, having that tangible asset feels incredibly secure. I mean, here in Florida, property values are still strong, but you just never know. For anyone else who's thinking about diversifying into precious metals for their retirement, I'd highly recommend looking into them. Has anyone else here used Augusta? What were your first impressions or any long-term thoughts?
Also, a buddy of mine mentioned an Eligibility Checker online for Gold IRAs. I hadn't even thought about that when I started, but it sounds like a smart first step if you're just dipping your toes in. Has anyone used a tool like that before? I'm curious if it's actually helpful or just another lead gen thing.
