Anyone here with a smaller portfolio for a Gold IRA?

Okay, so I've been doing my research on gold IRAs for a while now, probably a good 6 months off and on. As an accountant here in Atlanta, I absolutely get the tax benefits and the diversification play, especially with the market being... well, the market. My current portfolio is sitting right around the $220k mark, and I want to allocate about 10-15% of that into precious metals. It's not a massive amount in the grand scheme of things, so I'm looking for companies that are welcoming to someone with a smaller initial investment without hitting me with insane fees.
I've seen so many of these "top gold IRA companies" lists, but it feels like most of them are geared towards people dropping $100k+ right off the bat. My initial thought was to roll over about $25k-$30k from an old 401k. I'm trying to avoid getting nickel-and-dimed on maintenance fees or having minimum purchase requirements that are just too high. Has anyone here specifically dealt with companies that are good for smaller initial investments (under $50k) and felt like they got good service and fair pricing?
I've been looking at the historical performance a bit more closely, especially this "Gold vs Stocks Comparison" tool. It really helps put things in perspective when you see how gold performs over different periods, even the last 10 years. It reinforces my feeling that having some physical assets outside of traditional stocks is a smart move right now. I'm just struggling to sift through all the options to find a genuinely good fit for my specific situation.
Any personal experiences with specific companies, good or bad, would be super helpful. What kind of fees should I realistically expect on an account of this size? Did anyone have a smooth setup process when they weren't rolling over six figures?
