Any custodians you guys recommend (or warn against)? My rollover's coming up

Okay, so I’m getting ready to do a rollover from my old 401k into my Gold IRA, and I’m starting to think about custodians. Right now I'm with a company that was chosen for me when I set up my account, and honestly, they've been fine. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. My account is sitting at about $75k currently, and with the rollover, it’ll be closer to $90k. I want to make sure I’m making the right choice for this next chapter.
My husband and I are farmers here in rural Kansas City, Missouri, and for us, having something real you can touch and see has always been important. That’s why the Gold IRA resonated so much with me. It just feels… solid. Knowing it's held by a reliable custodian is a big part of that feeling. I've only ever dealt with one, so I don't really have a frame of reference for what's excellent versus what's just okay.
So, I'm really curious to hear about your experiences. Are there any custodians you've had a particularly good (or bad!) experience with? What did you like or dislike about them? I'm looking for things like transparency in fees, how easy they are to deal with if you have questions, and just overall peace of mind. I'm not looking for the absolute cheapest, necessarily, but something that offers good value and doesn't hit you with hidden charges.
Any and all anecdotes or recommendations would be super helpful as I start looking into this more seriously over the next few weeks. Thanks in advance, everyone!
