Wife wasn't sure about metals, now she's a believer after seeing how the Gold IRA works. Anyone else have that experience?

Took a while, but my wife is finally on board with the Gold IRA I set up a few months back. She's always been more of a traditional investments type, you know, stocks, mutual funds – the whole 401k she has from her job is all in that. I’ve always been more focused on security, especially with what I do for work as a contractor. After seeing some of the market volatility lately, I wanted something tangible, something that felt more secure, which led me down the Gold IRA path.
I started with about $150k from an old 401k rollover. We're in Jacksonville and I looked at a few places, ended up going with American Bullion after a recommendation. The whole process was pretty smooth, and they walked me through everything with the physical metals. My wife, bless her heart, was still skeptical. She kept asking "what if the price drops?" or "isn't this just a fad?" I showed her the account statements, how the metals are stored, and even the historical performance data, but I think what really clicked for her was just seeing how easy it was to understand, unlike some of the more complex stuff in her portfolio. She's definitely more at ease now knowing a good portion of our retirement isn't just numbers on a screen.
I'm actually considering moving another $50k into it early next year, maybe even looking at silver as well to diversify within the metals a bit. The peace of mind is worth a lot to me, and now that my wife is on board, it feels even better. Has anyone else had to "convince" their spouse on the Gold IRA front? What was the moment or information that really turned the tide for them?
