Spousal Buy-in for Gold IRA?

Alright, so I’ve been sitting on this pile of theoretical gold for a while now, you know? My physical holdings are solid, plenty of tonnage, and a good chunk of that is in rounds. But my financial advisor’s been harping on me for a while about diversifying the retirement side of things beyond the usual equities and some of my larger commercial real estate ventures. He’s been pushing the Gold IRA angle pretty hard.
The problem is, my wife is… let’s just say she’s not as bullish on precious metals as I am. She sees the gold in the safe and thinks antique coin collection, not a hedge against inflation. I’ve tried explaining the global economic climate, the dollar's erosion, all the usual arguments, but it just doesn’t seem to land. She’s more of a 'spreadsheet and dividend' kind of gal, and sees gold as a dead asset, not a growth engine. Even with my portfolio sitting well north of $5M, she's still pretty risk-averse when it comes to new strategies, especially if it involves moving capital that’s already performing in other accounts.
I’m thinking about starting smaller, like a $100k initial transfer from an old 401k, just to show her how it works and what the process looks like. Maybe she needs to see some actual statements, some proof of concept. The tax advantages are a huge plus for me, especially given the current tax landscape here in Aspen (and everywhere else, honestly). Does anyone have any experience with getting a skeptical spouse on board with a Gold IRA? What arguments really resonated? I actually found this "Gold IRA Quiz" tool at https://quiz.goldirablueprint.com/?forum and it was pretty informative, I'm thinking of having her take it - maybe a neutral third party can make more sense than me trying to explain it for the tenth time.
Any success stories on the spousal front? Or am I just preaching to the choir here?
