Silver vs. Gold in a Gold IRA - thoughts on allocation?

Been thinking a lot about my precious metal allocation lately, specifically within my Gold IRA. I’ve held a decent chunk of physical gold for years, mostly in coins and some larger bars, initially purchased outside of an IRA. Decided a few years back, after seeing inflation predictions coming true, to roll over a significant portion of my old 401k into a Gold IRA. We're talking close to seven figures here, probably around $1.5M in the IRA, with another $5M+ in other assets, mostly real estate development projects around Aspen and some liquid stuff. My goal has always been capital preservation and a hedge against the kind of monetary policy we’ve been seeing.
My current Gold IRA is pretty heavily weighted towards gold, maybe 85-90% gold, with the rest in silver. I'm wondering if I should rebalance that to a higher silver percentage. I bought a good amount of silver back when it was struggling, and it's done pretty well for me, but the gold has been the steady anchor. Part of me thinks silver has more upside potential long-term, especially with its industrial applications, but it's also historically more volatile. Gold feels like the bedrock, the ultimate safe haven, which is primarily why I got into the Gold IRA in the first place.
Anyone else grapple with this balance? What's your typical gold/silver split in your precious metals holdings, especially within an IRA? I'm curious about the rationale behind people's decisions. I've been doing my own research, and even took one of those Gold IRA Quizzes – it was actually a pretty good way to solidify some of my existing knowledge and even pick up a few nuggets I hadn't considered. But nothing beats real-world experience and perspectives from other investors. Let me know your thoughts.
