Seriously, how long does the 401k to Gold IRA transfer REALLY take? My nerves are shot.

Okay, so I'm a nurse up here in Seattle, and I finally bit the bullet and started the process of rolling over a chunk of my old 401k into a Gold IRA. I've only got about $75k in it right now, but that's a good chunk of my retirement savings, and I'm really trying to diversify away from the stock market roller coaster. I started this whole thing about three weeks ago, and I feel like I'm refreshing my accounts every two hours. I know they say it can take a few weeks, but "a few weeks" is vague when you're looking at your retirement.
My main concern is just how long that money is just... out there. I'm imagining it in some kind of financial limbo, not earning anything, not doing anything. The company I'm working with has been pretty responsive when I call, but they're giving me the standard "it's processing" line. I went through the Eligibility Checker on Gold IRA Blueprint before I even started and everything looked good, so I know I qualify. It's just the actual movement of funds that's driving me nuts.
For those of you who have done a direct 401k to Gold IRA rollover, how long did it actually take from initiation to seeing the gold in your account (or at least proof of purchase)? Was it the 2-4 weeks they usually quote, or did it stretch out longer? Any hidden snags that popped up that delayed things? I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the long haul if that's what it is, but I'd just love some real-world timelines.
Also, sidebar: how many of you diversified with gold rounds specifically? I decided to go with those because I liked the idea of a lower premium compared to some of the coins, but still getting that physical asset exposure. Anyone have regrets going with rounds over something else?
