Seriously considering silver alongside my Gold IRA... Thoughts?

Okay, so I've been a Gold IRA guy for a bit now, mostly to hedge against all the wild swings we've been seeing in the tech market. My portfolio is sitting comfortably between $500k-$1M right now, and a decent chunk of that was rolled over from an old 401k into a self-directed Gold IRA a couple of years back. Best decision I made honestly, especially seeing how things have been playing out lately. I’m based in Austin, and even out here, you feel the ripples from whatever’s going on in Silicon Valley, not to mention the general economic weirdness.

I’m starting to look at silver bars seriously, like adding them to my precious metals allocation. My current play has been pretty focused on gold, mainly because of its historical stability and my primary goal being capital preservation. But I keep hearing more and more chatter about silver’s industrial demand and its potential for more aggressive growth, especially if we see an uptick in manufacturing or continued inflation. It feels like gold is the steady anchor, but silver could be a nice booster.

For those of you who've gone down the path of diversifying into silver in a big way, especially within an IRA, what have your experiences been? Did you just go with a straight percentage split, or did you try to time your entry points differently than you would with gold? I'm not looking to go crazy, but maybe pulling 10-15% of my precious metals holdings into silver bars seems like a reasonable next step.
