Rollover taking way too long, anyone else experience this with a large portfolio?

Honestly getting a little antsy here. I started the rollover process from my old 401k to a new Gold IRA about six weeks ago, and it feels like it's dragging. We're talking about a significant chunk of change, just over $1.2M from a couple different accounts, and I was hoping for this to be wrapped up a lot faster. I've been doing these kinds of transfers for years with other asset classes, usually goes pretty smoothly, but this one's different. Is this normal for gold and silver, or am I just being impatient?
My advisor mentioned that because of the size of the transfer, there might be extra steps or scrutiny from the custodian, which I get. But I'm used to liquidating and repositioning assets much quicker – part of being a real estate developer, I guess. I've got a decent amount of physical silver I've been sitting on for a while too, and I'm wondering if I should have just done a direct purchase of PMs instead of a full IRA rollover for this portion. Aspen real estate market has been treating me well, but I like having some serious metal as a hedge, especially with how things are looking globally.
Anyone with larger portfolios gone through this recently? What was your timeline like? Any tips for speeding things up, or is it just a waiting game from here? I've been trying to stay informed, checking out resources like the Learning Center at https://learn.goldirablueprint.com/?forum for general info, but they don't really get into the specifics of this long for a rollover. Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything obvious on my end. Appreciate any insights!
