Rolled over some more to snag some silver - feeling pretty good about it now

Just closed on rolling over a chunk more of my 401(k) into my Gold IRA, and this time I actually diversified a bit within the precious metals. Always been a gold guy, ever since I saw what inflation could do back in the day, but after a lot of back and forth, I decided to allocate about 20% of this new rollover ($25k out of $125k) into silver. The rest stayed in my usual gold allocations.
My thinking here was pretty basic: I've got my core retirement (a decent pension from the casino that's been my life for 30+ years, plus some other investments), so this Gold IRA is more about hedging against the unexpected and maintaining purchasing power long-term. Vegas is a feast-or-famine town, and while I've done well, I've seen enough cycles to know that nothing is guaranteed forever. Gold is my bedrock, but silver's industrial demand and lower price point just spoke to my inner gambler. It feels like it has more upside potential if things get really dicey, and it's a lot easier to acquire in smaller denominations if I ever needed to liquidate a small portion of it for an emergency rather than cracking open a whole gold bar.
I know the volatility is higher with silver, but honestly, after years in the casino industry managing risk on the floor, I'm pretty comfortable with understanding calculated risks. I'm not looking to day-trade this stuff, it's buy-and-hold for the foreseeable future. My total portfolio is now just over $200k in the Gold IRA, and honestly, the thought of having both metals feels more robust. Has anyone else here done a similar split? Any experienced silver stackers have thoughts on what percentage makes sense long-term in an IRA?
The process with Augusta Precious Metals was smooth as usual – they handled all the paperwork for the rollover, which is a massive relief. No fuss, no drama. Just waiting for everything to settle now. Feels good to have taken the plunge.
