I'm a teacher here in Columbus, and for years my retirement fund was just... chilling in various mutual funds. Nothing wrong with that, necessarily, but I always felt like I was just blindly trusting someone else with my future. Oh man, I totally feel this! I was in a similar boat with an old 401k from a previous job. It was just sitting there, doing... something, I guess. Felt good to finally take control and move it into a Gold IRA. The peace of mind is definitely a real thing.

Totally agree with this! Made the jump myself about 6 months ago from an old 401k sitting at a company I left years ago.
