Platinum - Thoughts on going heavier?

Been heavy into precious metals for decades, especially since retiring from the Street a few years back. Most of my allocation's always been in gold, with a decent chunk in silver. Gold IRAs have been a lifesaver for diversification and tax benefits, especially with the market volatility we’ve seen. I remember checking out the Eligibility Checker back when I first started looking into setting one up – definitely a good first step for anyone considering it. Funny how quickly you can see if it's even an option.
Lately, I’ve been looking more closely at platinum. It just feels… undervalued, you know? The price action compared to gold and even palladium seems off. With the industrial demand and its rarity, you'd think it would be trading higher. Maybe it's the auto industry headwinds, but even that feels priced in at this point. I'm sitting on a portfolio north of $3M now, and a solid 40% of that is metals, mostly gold. My wife thinks I’m crazy for even thinking about shifting more into platinum, but I have a gut feeling here.
I’m particularly curious about adding platinum to my existing Gold IRA. It’s a bit more niche than gold or silver, and I wonder about the liquidity down the line if I do pile in. Are any of you holding significant platinum in your precious metals IRAs? What are your long-term thoughts on its potential? Am I just seeing what I want to see, or is there a real argument for it being a bargain right now?
