Platinum in a Gold IRA: Anyone else thinking this is the move?

I’ve been eyeing platinum pretty hard lately for my Gold IRA, and honestly, wondering if I'm missing something or if it's genuinely undervalued right now. My nest egg is probably in the 200k range, and I’ve been almost exclusively gold for the past few years, which has been great, no complaints there. But with gold’s recent run, I can’t help but look at platinum’s current price point and thinking there’s some serious upside.
I'm a real estate agent down here in Miami, and I'm always looking for those hidden gems, whether it's a house or an investment. Platinum just feels like one of those right now. I know it’s got industrial demand, especially with auto catalysts, and I hear stories about potential supply issues out of South Africa that could really drive prices up. Given it’s so much lower than gold, it feels like there’s more room to grow than gold itself, especially if the economy starts picking up steam again and manufacturing demand increases.
My advisor has been pretty conservative, pushing for more gold and silver, which I get. It's safe. But a part of me wants to allocate maybe 10-15% of my precious metals into platinum. I’m thinking long-term here for retirement, so I’m not looking to day trade. I just want to maximize that growth potential. Does anyone else out there with a Gold IRA have significant platinum holdings? Or did you consider it and decide against it? What were your reasons?
I'm really interested in hearing from anyone who's made that jump or done a deep dive on platinum. Is the current price just a temporary dip before a big rally, or is there a fundamental reason it’s staying relatively low compared to gold? Any and all insights are appreciated!
