Platinum - anyone else seeing a buy signal, or am I crazy?
- •It feels like we're way past due for some sort of correction or breakout, doesn't it?
- •I’ve got about 300k tucked into my Gold IRA, mostly physical gold and some silver, which has been great for generational wealth preservation.
- •But I'm starting to seriously consider diversifying a chunk of that into platinum within the IRA.
Been tracking platinum for a while now, and with gold doing its thing, I can't help but feel like platinum is just… sitting there, severely undervalued. My family’s been in timber for generations up here in Spokane, so I'm used to thinking in really long cycles, and I look at the gold/platinum ratio and just scratch my head. It feels like we're way past due for some sort of correction or breakout, doesn't it?
I’ve got about 300k tucked into my Gold IRA, mostly physical gold and some silver, which has been great for generational wealth preservation. But I'm starting to seriously consider diversifying a chunk of that into platinum within the IRA. The industrial demand, especially with the push for hydrogen fuel cells and auto catalysts, seems like it's only going to increase dramatically over the next decade or two. That, combined with limited supply, just screams "future value" to me.
Am I biased because I want to see platinum take off? Maybe. But the fundamentals seem so strong. Is anyone else in a similar boat, eyeing platinum aggressively right now? What are your thoughts on allocating something like 10-15% of a precious metals IRA portfolio to it? Or am I missing some critical downside here that everyone else is seeing?
