I finally pulled the trigger a few months ago, rolled over about $180k from my old 401k. Been in the casino industry out here in Vegas for like 25 years, so I like to think I know a thing or two about risk and when to hold 'em or fold 'em. My financial advisor back east was pushing some pretty aggressive growth stuff, and honestly, after seeing a few cycles of the market, I just wasn't feeling it for a chunk of my retirement.

The whole process with Augusta was smoother than I expected. From the initial call to getting the actual metals in the vault, it was probably about three weeks. I spent a good amount of time on their educational resources – watched the webinar, read a bunch of their stuff. It felt less like a hard sell and more like an introduction to a different way of thinking about my retirement savings. They were pretty transparent about fees too, which I appreciated.
