I will say though, while I totally get the appeal of diversification and having some physical assets, sometimes I wonder if the whole "precious metals as a primary retirement vehicle" thing gets a little overhyped. Like, sure, it's a hedge, but are we really talking about outperforming a well-managed index fund over the long haul? Just something I always ponder when these discussions come up. To each their own, though!
