My 5-year Gold IRA experience - pretty happy, but what's next?

I just hit the five-year mark with my Gold IRA, and honestly, it’s been a pretty solid ride. After two decades of investing in physical gold here and there, mostly buying coins and a couple of bars over the years, the IRA was a natural progression for a chunk of my retirement savings once I retired from Ford a few years back. Pulled about $350k into it, and I’m sitting around $500k now. Obviously, a good chunk of that growth is thanks to the market roaring these past few years, but the stability from the gold has been a real anchor, especially some of the dips we've seen. Living in Detroit, you see how quickly things can change, and having that tangible asset really brings some peace of mind.
My biggest fear going into it was the storage fees eating into profits, or some kind of hidden administrative hoops you read about online. So far, that hasn't been an issue. I check my statements every quarter, and everything's been transparent. I'm mainly holding American Gold Eagles and Canadian Maple Leafs, with a smaller portion in some proof coins I picked up for a bit of a premium, hoping for collectibility value down the line. That part's more of a gamble, I know, but I’ve always enjoyed collecting, even if just a small part of my portfolio.
I feel pretty good about where things stand, especially with the dollar looking a little shaky these days. The question I have for the community is, what are you guys looking at for the next 5-10 years? Are you holding steady, or diversifying further within your Gold IRA, maybe adding some platinum or silver? I'm debating whether to start pulling some income from it in the next year or two, but it feels good to just let it ride right now. I've been spending a lot of time on the Learning Center digging into some of the long-term outlooks, but I'm curious about real-world experiences from people here. Any thoughts on exit strategies or rebalancing once you start taking distributions?
