Okay, so I'm just starting to dip my toes into the whole Gold IRA thing, and honestly, the amount of info out there is a bit much! I'm a teacher here in Columbus, and I've finally managed to scrape together around $30,000 in my retirement savings that I'm thinking about diversifying into precious metals. It's not a huge amount, but it feels like a big step for me.

I've been looking at a few different providers, and it seems like some have pretty steep minimum investment requirements. Like, I saw one that wanted $50k right off the bat, which is way more than I'm comfortable with right now. I'm trying to figure out what a reasonable minimum is for a Gold IRA. Are there options for someone with a portfolio closer to my $30k range, or am I just looking at the wrong places?

I'm really trying to be smart about this, especially with everything going on with inflation.
