Minimum Gold IRA investment - is there a universal rule?

Okay, so I finally pulled the trigger on a Gold IRA about six months ago, after thinking about it for what felt like forever. I’m a musician and producer here in Nashville, and honestly, the thought of my retirement being solely tied to the stock market after seeing some friends get absolutely hammered in 2008 always made me a little uneasy. I had about 75k that I rolled over from an old 401k, and the process was surprisingly smooth, but one thing that stuck out was how different all the companies seemed to be regarding their minimums.
I shopped around with a few providers before settling on the one I’m with now. Some were talking 25k minimums, others were pushing 50k, and one even hinted that anything under 100k wasn't really "worth it" for them, which felt a bit snooty, honestly. I ended up meeting the 50k minimum with my rollovers, and then put in another 25k in cash to diversify a bit more. I’ve been feeling pretty good about it overall, especially with the inflation chatter lately.
My question for you all is: What was your experience with minimum investment requirements for a Gold IRA? Did you find a huge variance like I did? And did any of you start with a smaller amount successfully, or does it really seem like most custodians have a pretty high bar? I'm curious if I just happened to hit a specific bracket or if there are truly options out there for folks wanting to start with, say, 10-20k.
Also, completely unrelated, but anyone else holding silver bars in their IRA? I opted mostly for gold coins, but looking at some of the silver prices lately, I'm wondering if I should have diversified a bit more into that as well. Thoughts?
