Inherited IRA to Gold - What are my options?

My dad passed away last year and I inherited his traditional IRA. It's got about $75k in it right now, mostly in mutual funds he picked out years ago. I'm a nurse here in Seattle, and honestly, the market volatility lately is making me super antsy. I'm 48 and this is a big chunk of my retirement security. I opened my own Roth Gold IRA a couple of years ago with about $20k, just to diversify and have something tangible, and I'm really happy with that decision.
I'm looking into converting this inherited IRA, or at least a good portion of it, into physical gold or silver through a Gold IRA. My main goal is capital preservation and hedging against inflation – not really looking for huge gains, just peace of mind. I've heard inherited IRAs have different rules than regular IRAs, especially since I'm not his spouse. I know I have to deal with the 10-year rule for stretching distributions, but can I convert the underlying assets to gold within that framework? Or does it complicate things even more and maybe I should just cash it out and then fund a new gold IRA with the proceeds (which I'd rather not do because of the tax hit)?
Has anyone here gone through a similar process with an inherited IRA? What were the challenges? Any specific custodians or gold dealers you'd recommend that are good with these more complex situations? I've been doing some research online, and it's a bit overwhelming trying to figure out the best path forward without making a costly mistake. I saw an interesting tool called "Silver vs Stocks" on Gold IRA Blueprint that lets you compare silver's performance against stocks over different periods, which got me thinking about including some silver too.
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to secure my future a bit better.
