Okay, so I finally pulled the trigger on converting a chunck of my old 401k into a Gold IRA. I’ve been researching this for ages – probably since the pandemic really highlighted how volatile the market can be. My financial advisor (who, bless her heart, was a little hesitant but ultimately supported my decision) helped me get the ball rolling, and I initiated the direct rollover last week.
