Good/Bad Custodian Experiences? Looking to diversify beyond Augusta.

Alright, folks, I'm at a bit of a crossroads with my Gold IRA custodian. Been with Augusta Precious Metals for a good nine years now, and for the most part, it's been smooth sailing. My portfolio's somewhere between $700k and $800k, mostly in physical gold coins, and they've handled the storage and reporting without a hitch. But with the way the market's looking, and honestly, just for peace of mind, I'm thinking it might be a smart move to diversify my custodian setup, maybe spread things around a bit.
I cut my teeth in the oil fields here in Texas, seen plenty of boom and bust cycles, and learned pretty early on that you don't put all your eggs in one basket, whether it's drilling sites or gold holdings. I've had gold in various forms for about 15 years now, started pretty small and built it up. Augusta's been great for a significant chunk of that, but I'm curious what other custodians you seasoned investors are using and what your experiences have been like. Are there any hidden gems out there that offer comparable service, or maybe even better rates on storage?
Specifically, I'm looking for custodians that are rock-solid financially, have transparent fee structures, and ideally, provide multiple storage options (thinking both domestic and maybe even a small percentage offshore, though that's a longer-term thought). Have any of you had to deal with significant withdrawals or transfers from your custodians, and how did that process go? Any nightmare stories to avoid, or fantastic customer service experiences that really stood out? Really want to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly so I can make an informed decision. Thanks in advance for any insights!
