Man, watching gold absolutely fly today has me buzzing! My Gold IRA just hit a new personal record, and I'm feeling pretty damn good about it. I've been in Gold IRAs for about five years now, ever since I started paying closer attention to the execs at the oil company I work for here in Tulsa. They've always been big on diversification and hedging against inflation, and frankly, some of the stuff they'd discuss in passing finally clicked with me.
When I first rolled over an old 401k into a Gold IRA, it was maybe around $130k or so. Honestly, I had some conservative estimates of where I thought it could go, but this recent surge is really exceeding expectations. With all the economic uncertainty, from inflation staying sticky to geopolitical tensions, it just feels like a no-brainer to have physical gold backing part of my retirement. I'm looking at my portfolio now, and it's comfortably over $200k, probably closer to $220k-230k depending on the minute.
So, the big question is, what's everyone else thinking now that gold is at all-time highs again? Are we looking at a pull-back soon, or is this just the beginning of another ascent? Part of me feels like taking some profits, but the other part is thinking this might be a sustained run. Is anyone considering adding more to their Gold IRA, even at these prices? Or are you diversifying into silver or other assets?
It's crazy to think about, but I remember when I first started looking into this, some of my friends thought I was being overly cautious. Now, I feel like I'm sitting pretty comfortably. Just curious what strategies other Gold IRA investors are contemplating with these exciting new highs. Love hearing different perspectives!
