Gold Breaking All-Time Highs - What Now for My Gold IRA?

Okay, so gold just smashed through new all-time highs and honestly, I'm feeling a mix of relief and a bit of "what now?" I started building my gold IRA about 3 years ago when I saw inflation starting to perk up and the national debt numbers making me sweat. As an accountant here in Atlanta, I really dove deep into the tax benefits, especially being able to diversify my retirement savings outside of just stocks and bonds. I initially put about $75k into it, and over the past year and a half, I’ve slowly added another $25k, bringing my total gold IRA holdings to just over $100k.
My strategy was always long-term protection against market volatility and currency debasement, not necessarily trying to get rich quick. And for a while, it felt a little sleepy, watching it just kind of… exist. But seeing these new highs, it's pretty validating. I mean, my equities portfolio has been doing well too, but having that tangible asset really brings a different kind of peace of mind. Especially when you consider everything going on globally, it just feels like a smart move.
Now that we're at these levels, I'm trying to figure out if it makes sense to rebalance, or just hold steady. I was planning to add another ~20k in the next 6-12 months, perhaps in a different metal like silver for its industrial demand potential within the IRA framework. Or should I just be happy with the gains and let it ride? Is anyone else in a similar boat with their gold IRA and feeling this decision paralysis? Or maybe some of you more seasoned investors have a different perspective on holding versus taking profits within a tax-advantaged account like this?
I'm really curious to hear what others are thinking. It's great to see the asset perform, but it definitely brings up new questions about optimal strategy moving forward, especially when you're thinking about retirement in the next 10-15 years. Any insights or experiences would be super helpful!
