Gold IRA Minimums - What was everyone's experience?

I'm a doctor up in Boston, and I've had a pretty diversified portfolio for a while now, sitting somewhere in the $750k range. Gold has always been a solid part of that, and I'm looking at moving a chunk of my existing gold holdings (around $75k worth) into a Gold IRA. I’ve been doing some research lately about the different providers and what their minimum investment requirements are. Some of these minimums seem pretty steep, and frankly, a bit arbitrary.
For those of you who have set up a Gold IRA, what was your experience with the minimum investment? Did you find that some providers were more flexible than others, especially if you were rolling over existing precious metals? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth pushing back on a higher minimum if I really like a particular company's fee structure or storage options. I'm not looking to dump my entire portfolio into gold, but I want to make sure I'm getting good value and not just hitting some arbitrary floor.
Part of my hesitation is that I generally prefer to ease into new investment vehicles rather than making one large lump sum deposit right off the bat, unless there's a really compelling reason. I've found a lot of useful info on the Learning Center when it comes to understanding the different options and regulations, but the real-world experiences are what I'm keen to hear about. Did anyone feel pressured into investing more than they initially planned just to meet a minimum?
Any insights from those who have navigated this process would be greatly appreciated. I'm especially interested if anyone managed to negotiate a lower minimum, or if there are providers known for being more agreeable on this point. Thanks in advance!
