Gold IRA storage fees - what's realistic?

Okay, so I'm about three years into my गोल्ड IRA journey and got about $150k stacked in there right now. The original company that set me up was great, no complaints there, but my annual storage fees are starting to feel a little... beefy. I'm paying around 0.9% of my total asset value, which works out to over $1300 a year for storage and insurance. It feels steep, even for segregated storage which I opted for.
I'm a marketing exec based in Minneapolis, and honestly, the goal is to hit an early retirement in the next 10-12 years, so every penny counts towards that nest egg. I love the stability that gold brings to my portfolio, especially with all the economic uncertainty flying around, but I just want to make sure I'm not overpaying for safe keeping.
Am I being unrealistic here? What are others paying for segregated storage on a similar portfolio size? Has anyone successfully negotiated these fees down with their current custodian, or is it usually a "take it or leave it" kind of deal? Thinking about exploring other options if this is way out of line. Any advice or shared experiences would be super helpful!
